William Stacy

Husband:
William Stacy		Born: Place and date uncertain.
Died: before 5 March 1705 or 1706. His wife, Mehitable, was appointed administratrix of his estate.
Parents: uncertain.
Wife:
Mehitable Weymouth		Born: Place and date unknown.
Died: in 1753.
Father: Edward Weymouth.
Mother: Esther Hodsdon.
Married: Place and date unknown.

William Stacy appears first in Kittery, ME in 1679. We do not know that he was our immigrant ancestor as that distinction may have belonged to Thomas "Stace" of Ipswich, MA, who married Susan Wooster, 4 August 1653. Their son, William, was born 21 April 1656. However, we have not been able to definitively link our William Stacy with him. Our William lived north of Sturgeon Creek in Kittery, ME.

William and his wife Mehitable (Weymouth) Stacy had seven children, all born at Kittery, ME:

  • Mary, b. 6 April 1690; m. 22 June 1709, John Thompson.
  • Hester, b. 22 Nov. 1693; probably died young.
  • William, b. 12 Jan. 1696; living in 1754.
  • Samuel, b. 19 April 1698; m. Mary Pray.
  • Elizabeth, b. 10 Aug. 1701; probably died young.
  • Benjamin, b. 17 Nov 1704; m. Lydia Libby.
  • Mehitable, b. 4 April 1706; m. 10 Oct. 1726, Joseph Emery.

Married: 10 October 1726.
