Richard IbrookRichard Ibrook was born probably in England; died in Hingham, MA, 14 November 1651. He was married and his wife's name might have been Margaret, but that is not certain. We do know that his wife died in Hingham, MA, 4 April 1664. Richard Ibrook was one of the early settlers of Hingham. He had a grant of land in 1635 containing four acres of land in Broad Cove, adjoining lots owned by John Palmer, William Cockraine, and Rev. Peter Hobart. During King Philip's War in 1675, many took refuge in his house which was fortified to resist Indian attacks. He was granted an island in the harbor in 1647. Richard Ibrook and his wife had at least four children, all born in England:
