Henry Ewell
Henry Ewell was a shoemaker of Sandwich, England, who came to the colonies on the ship Hercules in March 1634, and settled in Scituate. He was a soldier in the Pequot War, 1637, and a freeman in Scituate, in 1638. He removed to Barnstable in 1640, and returned to Scituate before 1647. His farm in Scituate was on the east side of Walnut Tree Hill. His house was burnt by the Indians in 1676 and another was erected on the spot. Henry Ewell's will was dated 16 August 1681. Henry and his wife Sarah (Annable) Ewell had at least nine children:

Gershom and Mary Ewell
In 1680, Gershom had a share in the Conihassett land (by purchase) in the right of John Hoar of Concord, Massachusetts. Also, at a place then called Cold Spring, he owned land which was passed to his son, John. Gershom and his wife Mary Ewell had eight children, all born in Scituate, MA:
