Cornelius was "brot over" about 1656 as a servant to Richard Goodale of Salisbury, MA. Richard sold 10 acres of upland to Cornelius, calling him "formerly my servant," and in his will left him his wearing apparel, "both lining and woolling." Cornelius became a "householder" in Salisbury and, in 1677, took the oath of allegiance and fidelity. His will mentions his wife and their 10 living children.
