Cornelius and Sarah Connor

Cornelius Connor		Born:probably in England, circa 1637.
Died:in Salisbury, MA, sometime after he signed his will on 21 August 1684.

Sarah -----		Born:Place and date unknown.
Died:probably in Salisbury, MA, after 1693.
Parents:Unknown, but Sarah might have been Robert Pike's milkmaid.
Married:place and date unknown.

Cornelius was "brot over" about 1656 as a servant to Richard Goodale of Salisbury, MA. Richard sold 10 acres of upland to Cornelius, calling him "formerly my servant," and in his will left him his wearing apparel, "both lining and woolling." Cornelius became a "householder" in Salisbury and, in 1677, took the oath of allegiance and fidelity. His will mentions his wife and their 10 living children.

Cornelius and his wife Sarah Connor had eleven children, all born in Salisbury, MA:

  • Hussy (or Husly), a daughter, b. 10 Aug. 1673.
  • Cornelius, Jr., b. 12 Aug. 1675.
  • Dorothy, b. 1 Nov. 1676; d. 1683.
